[All Platforms] [Crossfade] Crossfade Cuts Songs Off If Their Is An AD

Thread: 1214196

Description:
Crossfade cuts off the song when an AD plays directly after a song, instead if Crossfading it will just cut the song short and start playing the AD

To reproduce:

  1. Activate Crossfade (Any Length)
  2. Play Any Song And Wait For An AD
  3. The Song Will Just Be Cut Off Short Depending On Your Crossfade Length

Workaround:
You can turn off Crossfade

You can turn this off by going to:

Desktop:

  • Edit
  • Preferences
  • Show Advanced Settings
  • Playback
  • Turn off Crossfade Tracks

iOS/Android:

  • Open The Navigation Pane
  • Open Settings
  • Playback
  • Move Crossfade to 0

Additional information:
Please Post Your Device, OS and Spotify Version Thanks!

This bug does not affect ads only.

When I have Crossfade Tracks option enabled, the last track on any playlist or album ends gets truncated (exaclty the number of seconds I have configured for crossfade).

I am a premium subscriber and I have this behavior on current OS X Desktop app (1.0.14.124).

Hey folks, is anyone still experiencing this on the 1.0.15 update?

Also, is this happening only when the 'Repeat' function is turned on? Thanks!

It's OK in 1.0.15, thank you.

It was happenning without repeat before and I don't know if enabling repeat changed anything.

I'm on 1.0.16.14; Still have this issue. Had to turn off crossfade because my songs would get cut off when an ad played. It's very disruptive.

Hey @Voltrant

Could I ask if you are still experiencing this in 1.0.18?
