Android 7 update bluetooth progress bar

After updating my nexus 5x to android 7.0 the track progress bar in my car (mazda 3 2015) via blue tooth stopped working. The total track time is displayed but no track progress is indicated, either by the time lapsed or progress bar.

Can you let us know if you're using a beta version of the operating system on your Nexus device?

Not a beta version as far as I can tell. It was an auto update.

Can you let us know exactly the version of Spotify you're using? Also, can you try to unpair (via Bluetooth) your phone from your car's audio system and then pair them again?

Hi,

I am having this same issue. After Android 7.0 Nougat Official Release on my Nexus 6P, I'm not able to see the progress bar anymore on BT in my Mazda 3 car. I can see the track duration but no progress bar. On previous Developer Preview 7.0 and Marshmallow it worked correctly, but after official 7.0 release the progress bar stopped working.

Android Version: 7.0 Nougat Oct Security Patch (NBD90X)

Same problem for me. Nexus 6p, Android 7.

Same issue here with Nexus 6, Android 7.0 Nougat (NBD90Z) and 2013 Audi A4 MMI w/ Bluetooth connection.

Instead of showing the current progressing track time, it will show either a track time of 0:00 or the total track time.

If you have the chance, can you test if the same thing happens from a different device?

If it persists, could you ask a friend or family member to sign into their Spotify account on your device?

So here are 2 pictures, the first picture is with the Nexus 6P device which has 7.0 Nougat, the 2nd one is with a Samsung Tablet which has 4.4.2 KitKat

Nexus 6P:

As you can see, the Nexus 6P doesn't show the progress bar at all or where it is at, while the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 shows it. The issue started happening after 7.0 Nougat release for the Nexus 6P.

I've tried other accounts in my phone and it's still the same result. I've even unistalled and reinstalled Spotify in my phone and the same issue persists.
