Issue: Android Auto Spotify track info not updated via Bluetooth (AVRCP) when OS is Android 8.0 Oreo

Spotify by using Android Auto and it works and the first track info is OK, but the track info is stuck there, no updates are send to the Ford SYNC2 car audio or SONY MW600 headset display.

I tried different Android 8 phones and it appears the same issue on Spotify with Android Auto. This issue cannot be reproduced on Google music and TuneIn apps. I do believe this is issue that Spotify needs to resolve. If Spotify does not resolve it, I will use another music provider.

Test Mobile phones: ASUS zenfone3, HTC U11 and Google Pixel2

Test Bluetooth audio devices: Ford SYNC2 SONY car audio and SONY MW600 headset

Yeah I have this same exact issue - pixel 2 running Android 8.1.

Android 8.1 and Spotify version 8.4.38.621. uninstalling does not solve the problem. Giving the app full permissions and turning battery optimization off doesn't solve the issue either.

1. Platform: Google Pixel2(AG) with Android 8.1.0
2. Spotify version 8.4.38.621 and Android Auto version 2.9.574924-release
3. Issue happen on both 4G and WiFi network
4. AG has more than 50GB free space
5. AG is running Android Auto with Spotify and track info is not updated via Bluetooth (AVRCP) when AG is Android 8.0 Oreo or later.

        Step 1: AG(Pixel2) connected Bluetooth with Ford SYNC2 or Sony MW600 headset

        Step 2: Run Android Auto on AG without connecting any cable to SYNC2 or MW600

        Step 3: Play music on Android Auto and track info is correct

        Step 4: Next track by AVRCP next button or touch next on Spotify app

        Step 5: Track info still stuck on first track and not updated on SYNC2 or MW600 -> Issue here…!!

1. This issue appears when AG update to Android 8.0 or later. The same AG tested Google Music or TuneIn app and it cannot reproduced with the same steps.
2. This issue also happen on HTC U11 and ASUS Zenfone3. They are all Android 8.0. If OS is Android 7.0, it won’t happen.

The latest release that I can see (8.4.43.632) has not solved this issue for me (Nokia 8 on Android 8.0).
