My Question or Issue

Longtime user never experienced any issue for years and years of enjoying great music and recommendations. I have Android Auto on the latest Seat Infotainment (2020) and been using Spotify with no issues since December. Suddenly last week I get the "Spotify doesn't seem to br working at thr moment" screen and I've tried every thing by now. Set battery to do not optimise. Reinstalled Spotify and Android Auto. Every other app, Maps, TuneIn and Pocket Casts work without any issues. Help! Can't listen to music anymore on my long commutes, or at least not for music I'm paying a subscription for!

Hey folks,

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this issue.

We’re happy to say that this should now be fixed for everyone! Just make sure your app is updated to the latest version.

If you're still having trouble, make sure to post a new thread in the relevant help board here.

Thanks!

Hi @Raf84

Thanks for your reply.

We understand where you're coming from and we'll do our best to help you sort this out.

Just to confirm, did your friend have the same issue in your car?

Also, could you let us know the exact app version you're currently running?

Keep us posted.

Raf84
Hi, no in her own car.

And I'm running app version 8.6.4.971

Hi again @Raf84

Thanks for keeping us in the loop.

Since you're still experiencing this issue, it would be very helpful if your friend or a family member could test this in your car with their own device. This will help us investigate further.

Let us know how it goes.

Raf84
My friend lives hours away, and is very busy and so am I. Most people I
know have iPhones and also lockdown so I can't really go visit people and
I've just moved to this city. So I'd like to help there but this option
will just not work now.

Hey @Raf84

Thanks for getting back to us.

Not to worry, we can still try something else. Would you mind creating a new test account to see if you notice the same behavior when using it?

Also, could you confirm if this is happening only via Bluetooth or when you connect your phone with an USB cable?

We'll continue investigating this.

Raf84
Hi test account? I'll try that tomorrow.

And this happens through a USB C connection with Android Auto.

Novy

Hey @Raf84

That sounds great.

Let us know if you notice any difference when you're able to try this with another account.

If possible, could you give it a try connecting to Android Auto through Bluetooth?

Keep us posted.

Raf84
Regarding your last question, you cannot connect Android Auto through
bluetooth only (?!) It only goes through a wired connection where you
"mirror" your phone into your infotainment. But if you're question is if it
works fine just through Bluetooth yes it does.

Hi again@Raf84,

Thanks for this info!

In order to continue investigating this, we'll stay attentive to know how it behaves with a different account.

Cheers.

Raf84
Update: with test account the same. Just very irregular behavior. I'm
telling you something it's with the app, it went from working fine for
months and then suddenly it stops? I changed nothing, downloaded no new
apps at the time, all other Android Auto apps work. What gives?
