[Android] Downloaded albums don't show first tracks in Offline mode

Hey folks,

We're seeing reports that downloaded albums on the Android app are shown only partially when the app is set to offline. This doesn't seem to be affecting playlists or the same albums, when the app is online.

If you're experiencing this issue, make sure to subscribe to this thread! We'll be keeping everyone up to speed here.

Hey folks,

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this issue.

We’re happy to say that this should now be fixed for everyone! Just make sure your app is updated to the latest version.

If you're still having trouble, make sure to post a new thread in the relevant help board here.

Thanks!

My Question or Issue

Hi, after last update I can't see first six tracks of downloaded album while offline. Offline mode on/off makes no difference. I can play all the songs only when I'm online. First 6 songs are overlayed by album cover and "Random" button. Short albums and singles are completely useless. Phone restart didn't help. Thanks.

Edit:

Spotify version 8.6.44.851

Hi. Thanks for replying. Unfortunately the thread you linked is about something else. I had these "Something went wrong" messages on desktop. And they went away eventually, after a few reinstalls and updates. In this case I can click on the album, the problem is the top half with cover art is not scrolling and as a result covering first six songs. Album with six or less, as you can see from the third picture, is not showing anything. I tried everything by now, except clean reinstall. I'm gonna have to do it anyway, it seems. In any case, I appreciate your help. Thank you.

Just a quick update. Even after clean reinstall, this is still an issue. When offline, cover art of downloaded albums don't scroll up and overlays first six tracks. Wich makes downloaded albums borderline unusable. Playlists works fine.

Hi there @schodl,

Thank you for your reply and confirmation.

If you have an SD card we suggest that you uninstall the app > turn off your phone > take out your SD card > turn on the phone again (without the SD card) > reinstall the app since the card can be corrupted.

If that doesn't do the trick, we suggest that you contact our customer support and ask them to remove any corrupt devices from their end since we're not able to access your account directly from our end.

Let us know how it goes.

Take care!

Hi Jeremy,

no SD card here unfortunately. My card slot is empty. If customer service is your suggestion, I'll contact them. Thans for your help.

Did you ever manage to fix this issue? I'm having problems with it now and it's infuriating, I also have no SD card and have forced clean reinstalled the app and nothing works at all. I just want to be able to listen to my music offline properly

Jeremy

Hi again @schodl,

Thank you for your reply and confirmation.

Hopefully everything will work after they remove any possible corrupted devices.

Keep us posted 🙂

Cheers!
