[Android] Now playing bar not updating

Repeatedly having this issue where the now playing gets stuck on a particular song, I cannot work out whether it's linked to an android update but I have been having this for months and I am fed up with it.

This is still a problem on my Samsung s20 fe running one ui 3.1 android 11, and Spotify version 8.6.46.886

Now Playing bar hasnt updated for weeks, only time I can get it to update it by turning my phone off then on again which I dont want to keep doing for every song. 
I can only listen to about 2.5 songs then Spotify closes down 

When I stop my car Spotify starts to play again about 30 seconds after disconnecting from bluetooth in car, often very loudly. 

My downloaded playlists are not always available when I am away from the wifi

My spotify premium increased without telling me and I feel like the service I am receiving is not value for money.

Using Spotify Connect / casting, now playing screen somtimes stuck on previous song, showing previous song art and progress bar continuing way past the songs's end (e.g. 4:25/3:20). Problem is intermittent, but will show up reliably. Sometimes force closing the app and restarting gets rid of it for a random while.

Edit: this has been happening for a bunch of versions now

My Samsung S21+ now works properly (android 11) but my girlfriend's Oppo Find X2 Neo (Android 11) still has the same issue. She's running Spotify Version: 8.6.46.886

Thanks for the reports. We have a new Spotify version available now for Android.

Could you make sure you have the latest version of the app? We recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app to make sure that no old files are causing any issues.

Play status bar does not update to show current song playing in the Spotify Stations app latest version (0.4.17.32) on Google Pixel 3a phone running latest OS (Android 11 build RQ3A.210705.001).

Note that the play bar in the regular Spotify app updates and shows correct current playing song! I wonder if there is an issue with the Stations app having permission to access the Wi-Fi network?...
