Hey there folks,

We really appreciate your patience while we were looking into this!

The issue initially reported in this thread should be fixed after updating to the latest version of the app, so we'll be marking this Ongoing Issue as Fixed.

However, if you're experiencing a similar issue, we'd suggest sharing it in the related Help board  along with all the relevant details of the affected device and troubleshooting steps you've tried. We'll be happy to lend a hand there and take a closer look into what's happening.

3 iOS devices, 2 iPhones (X and 11 Pro) iPadPro 12.9" all the latest IOS and max memory. Started 56/20 around 18:00 EST. Spotify version 8.5.56. My MacBook Pro app seems to work fine, but Spotify connect is not working to Heos 350 or any Alexa device.  I will connect to my Denon AVR-X7200WA. Crazy

Update: I did a full clean reinstall see here: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Spotify-Answers/How-can-I-perform-a-clean-reinstall-of-the-app/ta-p...

It worked, sort-of.  Still has Spotify connect issues mentioned above, so will limp along.

On my iPhone 11, software version 13.3 Spotify won’t open at all. The app keeps on crashing after I updated it this afternoon. Was working fine in the morning.

Latest crash 16:47 BST - although this same thing happened a few weeks ago, but was solved by reinstalling the app

App crashes when trying to listen to any podcast episode. Music plays fine but with podcasts, after pressing play the time stays at 0:00 for a few seconds and then the app closes. Have tried restarting the device as well as a clean reinstall

Similar problem to previous commenter. The app crashes when I try to listen to any podcast episode. Music plays fine but with podcasts, after pressing play the time stays at 0:00 for a few seconds and then the app closes. I tried both streaming and downloading to listen but it still crashes the same way.

Does this happen when trying to play anything, or is it happening in a specific context within the app?: Play any playlists. Have tried to clear caches, log out everywhere, disable battery saving setting- no results. When uninstall and reinstall apps, playlist would play for 3- 4 tracks before the problem occurs again.
