Android app forgets it is connected to Bose Soundtouch

I am a Premium member on v8.4.0.539 of the Android app (v7.1.2 of Android). I am able to play music using Spotify Connect on my Bose SoundTouch 10. However, after about one song, the Spotify app 'forgets' that it is playing on the SoundTouch so I can't change songs using the mini player on the lock screen or dropdown menu (there is no mini player available). I can see what is playing on the SoundTouch app but if I go back to the Spotify app it doesn't always show that there is a song playing so I can't control it from there.

Hi, @Abbie2020!

Welcome to the Spotify Community, we're glad to see you're part of the band.

In this case, do you remember if this started happening after a specific update or event? Also, from your phone, head to Settings > Apps > Spotify > Notifications > With the screen locked > Show all content from the notifications.

Let us know if this helps.

@MonicaM_Bogota Hi, I've only recently got Spotify Premium and I think this has happened the whole time I've used the app with my sound system.

The app is already set to show all notifications on the lock screen.

Thanks

Thanks for letting us know!

Could you restart your mobile device and connect it once again to your Bose SoundTouch 10? Also, can you connect the Bose from another device and let us know if you get the same issue?

We'd recommend logging out and back into your account to see if helps.

Take care 🙂
