Android's app beta version 9.0.48 crashing

We've received reports about the latest beta version 9.0.48 being unstable. The app may crash when opening Your Library, and playlists, albums and artist pages won’t load: an error message “something went wrong” is shown. It’s as if Spotify is offline, despite having perfect internet connection.

Hi folks,

Thanks for your patience while we investigate this issue.

We're happy to announce that this should now be fixed for everyone - just make sure you're running the latest version of Spotify.

Cheers 🤘

Temporary solution for now, add playlist to library with plus in search results then hold on the playlist in your library and select start a jam to add the playlist to your queue. You can end jam afterwards and whole playlist will be in queue.

May 25th, the app is now working for me. My temporary solution to be able to play music was to ask "Hey Google" to play my playlist of songs that I like, I say this in case it still doesn't work for someone or something happens Something similar that can help someone in this somewhat desperate situation, at least for me.

Hey team,

I just got a new update this morning, version 9.0.48.269, and the issue persists. Glad to hear it's being checked into!

Hi team,

same here on Pixel 9 Pro XL Android 15, even today's update doesn't fix the problem 😞

Hey there!

I was also facing this issue and already had performed the troubleshooting and what worked on my end was reinstalling the app from the Galaxy store instead of the Google Play. The app is now working again.

Edit: the issue still persists. Downloaded the app on Google play.

I have the same Issue.

I'm paying for this service and can't listen to music it's **bleep**ing frustrating. I'm so close to change the platform where I can listen to music again.

If you have a Premium plan, you can use DJ X to play music. That's the only way (based on my knowledge) of how I can play music. Even my Spotify downloads are not safe from this. Hope this could be fixed soon.

This problem also appears on earlier version and I'm not sure whether the same cause. While I open Liked songs, the playlist shows 0 songs. Web player can show songs I liked properly but it can't play any music and just skipping.

Hope my comment can be useful.

This still hasn't been fixed in the most recent update. It is really getting frustrating, especially if you pay €12,00 in a month to play music. And it can't even do the most basic thing you pay for. Hope it gets fixed soon. Weren't the price increases supposed to be make everything run smoother?
