App crashing for iOS free users when trying to connect to Bluetooth

We've received reports that iOS users of free accounts are experiencing app crashing when they try to connect their device to their AirPods via Bluetooth.

Hey folks,

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this issue.

We're happy to announce that this should now be fixed for everyone - just make sure you're running the latest version of Spotify.

Hi, I can confirm that the solution worked for me. Thank you.

I installed the update 8.8.52, seams to work again. I will check today, if it’s working I will mark that post.

It looks like they fixed the problem. They released an update about 1 hour ago, and it works fine so far.

giovaas

yeah, now works fine. The only one thing is that for me since a few updates the new player graphics are no longer there

Mine will work fine for a little bit, but then won’t change son when I try to. It just keeps playing the one I had on. Even when I close the app. It’ll keep playing for a bit. Then finally shut off. It’s really irritating. I’ve been actually using Pandora a lot more lately. Hopefully, somehow it gets fixed.

My Question or Issue

Spotify kicks me out while my headphones are connected, i’ve tried everything and nothing works (clearing my cache, clearing up storage, restarting my device and etc.)

AllisterC3

Recently whenever I have connected my ‘HT 450BT’ headphones to my phone, my Spotify crashes. If they are already connected to my phone, my Spotify will crash upon opening the app, and if I have Spotify already playing music, upon connecting to the headphones it will crash entirely.

I have tried forgetting the device, deleting and redownloading Spotify, updating the firmware of my headphones and updating Spotify, turning off the Bluetooth connection setting for Spotify and switching off the ‘local devices’ setting in Spotify. Anyone else experiencing the same issue and or have any feedback?

Mine has just started doing the same thing. Tried the same things. Nothing. No clue what’s wrong.
