Apple Carplay - cannot see playlists more than one level deep

Bug:

Given you are using the latest versionSpotifytify on an iPhone in apple carplay mode on a 2017 Ford Escape and you have playlists nested inside folders that are more than 1 level deep, when you browse to view your playlists, then all folders after the 1st level will appear empty.

Example Folder Structure:

- Folder 1 (Ex: Pop Music)

- - Folder 1.1 (Ex: 2000's Pop)

- - Folder 1.2 (Ex: Current top 40)

- Folder 2 (Ex: R&B Music)

- - Folder 2.1

- - Folder 2.2

In the above example, assuming you have playlists in all levels (including the root level), playlists in folders 1.1, 1.2, etc. Would not show up in apple car play - those folders will appear to be empty.

Thanks for confirming that for us.

For now, it's not possible to see playlists that are in folders within folders. Rest assured, we'll definitely be letting our team know it's something you'd like to see. Thanks for the feedback!

Hi, @nk1094!

Welcome to the Spotify Community.

Could you let us know your device operating system and Spotify version? Also, do you remember if this started happening after a specific update or event?

We'll see what we can suggest.

nk1094

I'm using an iPhone 6S Plus, on ios version 10.3.3 and Spotify premium version 8.4.13.109. This has been happening since I've purchased my car with carplay in April of this year.

Thanks for letting us know.

Just to be sure, it's never worked as intended before? Has it worked for you with a different device or in a different car?

We'll be right here waiting for this info.

nk1094
It has not worked for me before. I haven't had another vehicle with carvplay to test it with.

Thanks for letting us know.

Just to be completely sure, are you using CarpPlay directly or Ford SYNC?

We'll be right here waiting for this info.

nk1094
I am directly using Apple CarPlay, not Ford Sync.
