[Apple TV] Something went wrong - error 200/300

Hi my Spotify is not working on my Apple TV and keeps saying something went wrong, error 200.

 

I tried deleting and reinstalling the app, and I also tried restarting the apple tv. 

 

The Spotify and the apple tv software are up to date and wifi is working well, please any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Got exactly the same problem . Spotify help desk referred me to *pple support who in turn referred me back to Spotify - at which point , I’ve resorted to airplay from my iPad . Perhaps the more feedback they get , the more likely one of them will take ownership and fix the problem .

Thanks for sharing your reports regarding seeing this error message when using the Apple TV app.

 

We've passed it on to our tech teams who are looking into this.

 

If you're experiencing this, we'd first recommend trying the following:

  • Disconnect and then reconnect the Apple TV
  • Make sure your Apple TV is updated to the latest version available
  • If possible, try connecting to a different WiFi connection and re-pair the TV

If these don't do the trick, let us know by adding your +VOTE and leaving a comment with the relevant details so we can pass these along to the right teams:

  • A timestamp (including your timezone) of when you saw this error message
  • Details on your Apple TV
  • Software version of your Apple TV

We'll keep you posted here on any updates we have to pass on, thanks again!

  • Access the configuration settings of your router
  • Change the bandwidth on which it's currently broadcasting on: if it's set to 5 GHz, change this to 2.4 GHz (or vice versa)
  • Re-pair with the app on the TV

If these don't do the trick, let us know by adding your +VOTE and leaving a comment with the relevant details so we can pass these along to the right teams:

  • A timestamp (including your timezone) of when you saw this error message
  • Details on your Apple TV
  • Software version of your Apple TV

Just wanted to check with you what happened after following the steps @Ivan suggested. 

 

Does the error message keep appearing? Has anything changed?

Nothing suggested by support worked . The problem stayed around for 3days and then resolved itself .

I cannot log into my account on the app on Apple TV.  It keeps asking me to enter a pairing code at spotify.com/pair, then says it paired successfully, then I click login and I get another pairing code.  App does not work.

Thanks for reaching out to us.  

 

In case you keep on receiving another pairing code after having entered one already it's possible you've encountered a different issue that we're investigating. 

 

Take a look at the Ongoing Issue here, make sure to click on the +VOTE button and check out the steps under Status Update. 

 

You can also Subscribe via the three-dots menu in the top right corner next to the title. That'll make sure you stay up to date with any relevant updates about this.

Hey! 

 

spotify on my Apple TV also doesn't work properly. Today, 29 Nov 2021 16:45 Spotify took long to load and then showed Error 200. It has been 3 or more weeks since Spotify started acting weird. It takes super long to load, most of the times it doesn't load and sometimes it gives an Error message, sometimes doesn't. When the app loads and I can choose music, Spotify randomly quits and pauses music, the app becomes unresponsive.

 

It would be great to know if it's my Apple TV's or Spotify's bug. I've tried restarting the devices and everything is up to date etc...
