[Apple TV] Something went wrong - error 200/300

Hi my Spotify is not working on my Apple TV and keeps saying something went wrong, error 200.

 

I tried deleting and reinstalling the app, and I also tried restarting the apple tv. 

 

The Spotify and the apple tv software are up to date and wifi is working well, please any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

If you're experiencing this, we'd first recommend trying the following:

  • Access the configuration settings of your router
  • Change the bandwidth on which it's currently broadcasting on: if it's set to 5 GHz, change this to 2.4 GHz (or vice versa)
  • Re-pair with the app on the TV

If these don't do the trick, let us know by adding your +VOTE and leaving a comment with the relevant details so we can pass these along to the right teams:

  • A timestamp (including your timezone) of when you saw this error message
  • Details on your Apple TV
  • Software version of your Apple TV

Got exactly the same problem . Spotify help desk referred me to *pple support who in turn referred me back to Spotify - at which point , I’ve resorted to airplay from my iPad . Perhaps the more feedback they get , the more likely one of them will take ownership and fix the problem .
