Application do not use full screen for Xiaomi A2 lite phone

My Question or Issue

 On my brand new phone Spotify don't use full screen. There is a black bar above the play Button. Please look at attached screenshot.

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?

I'm having the same problem with the same device, I restarted the device and reinstalled spotify cleanly twice

Spotify version is 8.4.66.733

Android version is 8.1.0

I made a clean install (with removing all data), installed it once again and problem still occurs.

Android Version: 8.1.0

Spotify Version: 8.4.66.733 armv7

Maybe it's related to screen resolution which is 1080x2280?

Hey man after some research I found out that iPhone x had the same issue, it has a resolution of 1125x2436 and they just had to update it so it used the whole screen.

So spotify needs to update the app for this phone and it's not a random chinese phone so it will get it soon, or at least I hope so. And by soon I mean a month 😕

In the attachments u can see the iPhone X spotify before and after it got updated
