My Question or Issue

 On my brand new phone Spotify don't use full screen. There is a black bar above the play Button. Please look at attached screenshot.

1. Download the APK

2. Uninstall the Spotify app

3. Install the APK you just downloaded and the bug is fixed 🙂

(I used the original Spotify APK from Apkmirror.com and edited it by myself, some antivirus will say that there is a virus, but it's just because I've edited the APK ^^)

 

BTW if you want to do the fix by yourself, I recommend using APKMirror, this is a great and secure website with all versions of APK available 👍

same issue here, A2 Lite, Android 8.1 .0

 

Version 8.4.77.779

 

still waiting for an update.

 

Come on, it isnt so hard to update the resolution 🙂

I confirm that with latest spotify update (version 8.4.79.630) problem was solved. At least at my device (Xiaomi Mi A2 LITE).

@Miggal@Mariano_Rueda@cmonmat@davidhasnexus can you confirm if the newest version solved it? Make sure to have your apps up-to-date, and if that doesn't work, reinstall the app
