Artist Profiles not loading on web player and desktop app

We've received reports that some artist profiles are not loading on the desktop app and web player. These profiles can still be accessed using the mobile app.

Can't enter many artists profiles because i see this error. All of them all Russians, artists from other countries work fine.

Some of Russian artists' pages stopped shoowing yesterday in the desktop application. The app shows this page instead

This issue is fair for some popular artists like ДДТ, Мельница, Nautilus Pompilius, Oxxxymiron, Аквариум, Эпидемия. Meanwhile some other artists' pages like Крематорий, Чайф or Заточка are shown without any issues.

How can it be fixed or this is some kind of shadow ban?

We're receiving some reports of this same issue on Desktop and Web Player users. This is now being investigated by internal teams and we hope to get it resolved as soon as possible. As a workaround, you can try it on the mobile app, since some users are mentioning that it works properly over there.

The same exact thing has been happening to me when trying to access pages of artists such as Rauf & Faik, Jah Khalib, ZippO, and others. I believe it might be having something to do with the current political situation? Which in my opinion would be very stupid to affect Russian artists like this. Also, some songs which have always been available are suddenly gone as of recently.

Ah, I see it's some kind of bag - and looks too silly to be a political ban.

Hi there. Recently I've got a problem with non-loading artist cards who, as I see, are principally based in Russia.
You can listen to their albums, use a search to find their songs, however their page just isn't loading. There's no problem like this on mobile version, Android 10.
It is really problematic and cool workout for your memory, the only opportunity's using your phone. My connections's fine and as I already say, there's no problems with loading US artists, for instance.

Could you share some of the artists you have this issue with, so I could see if it happens on my end as well? : )
Another thing you can try is looking the artists up on open.spotify.com, the Spotify web player. If they show up in there, then something's off with your desktop app and it needs a refresh - a clean reinstall should do the trick .

I have the same problems. I hope it is not related to stupid political bans which will change nothing for people in Russia.
