Audio quality / Sound volume issues on Playstation 5 App

Hey folks!

We're aware of volume issues with the Spotify app on PS5 after a recent update, mainly that the volume output is too low. This is currently being investigated.

Thank you for your patience and input so far.

 

We're setting this issue to Not Right Now as we're unable to provide an exact timeline for a fix at this moment. However, rest assured this will remain on our internal teams' radar and we'll check back in here with a new status when we have any new information to share.

 

In the meantime, make sure to always keep the app up to date.

Headset problem: low volume on max volume

 

Headset brand: Pulse 3D headset

 

How is plugged in: USB port

 

Is Sony’s 3D virtual audio for headphones enabled on the console and do the headphones provide Surround Sound: its not enabled but it has surround sound 

 

PS5 firmware version: 22.02-06.02.00.04-00.00.00.0.1

Low Volume after Update 1.003.000 on any Headset i use.

  • Sure theres 6 models of ps5, but I'm sure they are all having same issue.
  • Everyone reporting this issue is probably using the same spotify version (there's only one for ps5) 
  • Everyone is using latest ps5 update if they are online listening to spotify in the first place
  • It's ALL headphones
  • It's the ps5 app that is having the issue, so logic states that ps4 wouldn't even have this problem unless you guys also euchred the ps4 app with an update...

No updates?? Can't figure out what's wrong? Just curious. Would make more sense if the max volume matched the game volume, but spotify clearly gets drowned out by whatever game you are playing at the same time. ❤️ spotify, so please fix soon 🙂

3 weeks later no fix, after pointing out the obvious, they say it’s under investigation when the issue is too obvious,

 

why these questions complicated question when the issue is OBVIOUSLY [ Volume Normalisation ].

 

it just suppose to be off like it used be, no one needs it and if someone needs it can simply lower their volume or give them the option “off, on” but not force us all to this **bleep**! Yet it’ll take weeks for a fix when the problem it’s again too obvious!

Spotify Version - 1.003.000 (See: the exact same version everyone else is struggling with)

Headphones - SteelSeries Arctis Pro plugged in via USB

 

@Vasil It would be awesome if we could get this fixed ASAP since I've already wasted a month of Spotify membership waiting on this BS

Another week down, another complete lack of updates or transparency. Fix this shizzle yesterday, it looks real bad on you guys.

4 weeks later. No fix. No Update. is this a late april fools?

Can you stop disrespecting your long time paying customers and give us an update? It's been over a month so we're now being charged for a compromised service and your silence says it all. I hate to be petty and threaten to switch to Apple music but you've left us with no other options. And all you have to do is reset the settings back to how they were on ps4 lol

Thanks for sending over the requested info and apologies for the lack of updates on our side.

 

The relevant team is still investigating this and trying to find the exact cause of the issue.

 

For anyone who's still experiencing this and hasn't posted their details, please do so, as this will help speed up the process.
