Audio quality / Sound volume issues on Playstation 5 App

Hey folks!

We're aware of volume issues with the Spotify app on PS5 after a recent update, mainly that the volume output is too low. This is currently being investigated.

Are you guys serious??? I've stopped using Spotify app on my PS5 because of the low volume issue and switched to f-ng Youtube!!! That's really crazy! It worked before an update in October, 2022! 
You really can't fix this silly bug??

This is unacceptable.  Casting via Chromecast seems to be eternally broken, so I resorted to using the PS5 app, only to find that the volume output is maybe 60% of every other source.  Supports answer?  "Not right now."

Come on.  I've been a paid subscriber for over a decade.  Completely ignoring customers while still taking their money...it might be time for me to move on.

That's just it, you guys don't even need to "fix" anything immediately... just allow ps5 users use the ps4 app again. Was working perfect immediately before us being forced to install ps5 app

My Question or Issue

Every time I start the spotify app on my PS5 the volume is only set to 75% in the app and outputs noticeably quieter than games or other apps. I have to open the Spotify app on my iPhone in order to increase the volume on the PS5 app to 100%. 

Logging out on the iPhone and restarting the app on the PS5, its still outputting quieter than games and other apps. So why is the default volume on the Spotify app on PS5 only set at 75%? Why do I have to manually increase the app volume through another device?

I 100 percent agree this a problem that can be resolved bye couple days instead of pushing us in the Curve

@PatSkywalker96 Does increasing the volume from another device while playing on ps5 work or you’re trolling? Because I’ve tried it and it’s still the same “Quiet”.

So far for the people who’re waiting for a fix this situation doesn’t seem like it’ll get fixed any sooner, so what i did is getting usb memory and download the music that i like the most, and play it as loud as it used to be. And when i want to play different songs i go back to spotify with the low a$$ volume.

Wanted to check back on this post to see if any have you can have like a actual update on this matter. I've been listening to music on spotify ps5 version for awhile and still low volume. If yall still can't understand that well,  when the ps4 version upgraded to ps5 version the volume was lowered by like half max volume is really low and putting the volume halfway you can't hear a single thing.  Same headset did other test on headphones, tv's and other thing to see if the problem still occurs and it does.  Game volume is louder than my music on max. if you cannot figure out the problem for the ps5 version yet please just make it so you can download ps4 version until yall figure it out. Thanks  (sorry for bad spelling)

After updating my app it now skips songs before they even ends like when 4mins songs gets to 3min it skips the song.

good job team spotify add more bugs and don’t fix bugs🫶
