My Question or Issue

Dear Community,

I listen to audiobooks on a daily basis. Since today afternoon, any audiobook shows only the first 50 tracks.

When starting a track higher than „chapter 50“ from a WhatsApp-Link, it works. Still, the subsequent songs won‘t play and Spotify jumps to a random song between 1 and 50.

Shuffle is off. And I didn‘t change any setting.

On a friend‘s iPhone XS everything works fine... comparing all settings we didn‘t find any differences.

Someone got an idea?

Same Problem, Same device and No idea how to fix it. Spotify please help

Loxer

Hi there!

I know it sounds simple, but it's often overlooked. Could you try restarting your device? If that doesn't help, try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.

Also, could you guys share the links to the audiobooks you're having issues with?

If you're still having trouble, could you let me know the exact version of Spotify and the exact version of the operating system you're running?

I'll see what I can suggest next!

I already did restart the iPhone and reinstall the App. The Problem is still there.

In my App all audiobooks have only 50 Tracks - but i only have tried the german ones.

Hello Loxer,

thank you for trying to help.

Clean Reinstall does not help, I tried this twice before opening this thread. Of course, I also restarted my device.

Spotify Version: 8.4.90.684

iPhone Info:

Version 12.1.2 (16C101) Model MQAF2ZD/A

Links to some of the Audiobooks I tried:

Additional Info:

- The problem does neither occur on my Win 10 PC nor on my Android-tablet, thus it won't be account-related.

- It seems to be a pure problem with the view of Albums, because Playlists are still longer than 50 songs.

- I don't know if this is related in any sense, but I noticed that also the view of the song currently listened to has changed: the three dots next to song title vanished, the share function now has an own button and the "Repeat" button is also gone, it now hides in the three dots in top right corner. So maybe the Album-GUI is broken since it was "updated" ?? (see attached screenshots for better understanding)

- When hitting the "download" function in the album, all songs are downloaded to my device and I can play them all from the "Songs" menu inside my library. Not a workaround because sorting is wrong in this menu.

After all, I found an easy workaround:

You can click the three dots in the top right corner and add the album to a new playlist - then you have all songs listed and in correct order.

Still quite a weak performance by Spotify, I hope they will fix it sometime soon.

I have the same problem.

iPhone XS Max

iOS Version 12.1.3

Spotify Version 8.4.91.903

All albums with more than 50 tracks are cut off. My colleague with the same

Spotify version

iPhone 8+

iOS Version Beta 12.2

does not have the problem at all.

My Android phone works fine too. Using the web browser I can see all tracks as well.

I even deleted and reinstalled my app, but nothing changed.

Since I am listening to audiobooks most of the time, the app is kind of useless for me at the moment. To keep track of everything I use the playlists for music albums only.

It would be great if Spotify could fix this.

Same here

On my Iphone it's the same behaviour (Iphone X). On the same Version on a different device it worked fine with my account.

I had contact with the support but they told me to wait for an answer here. So pls. Spotify what can we do, the app is a bit usless like that and you still get my monthly fee.

Same problem here.

I have The same Problem.

It is mentioned here, that Spotify is aware of this, but not considdering as Problem.

Quote an other Ticket:

I have just contacted Spotify to ask about the same issue. Apparently, they changed their settings in the app, it really is no longer possible to see/ listen to more than 50 songs per album. The employee asked me to share this in the communtiy so that it is noticed as a common problem/ issue. With this new setting, audiobooks do not make any sense!
