Black Screen in Now Playing View on iPad (v9.0.90)

Hey folks,


Some of you with iPads running the app version 9.0.90 may encounter a black screen when you tap the Now Playing View (bar or cover art). The app becomes unresponsive, blocking access to features like lyrics, queue, repeat, and shuffle.

Your track may keep playing despite the black screen. Closing and reopening the app can temporarily fix the issue while this is being looked into.

We're happy to announce that this should now be fixed for everyone - just make sure you're running the latest version of Spotify available.

 

If you're still having trouble, it's worth logging out and signing back in to your account to force a resync or performing a clean reinstall of the app to get rid of any potentially corrupted cache.

Me too. I’m experiencing this.

I hope this can be fixed immediately since I’m paying premium and I cannot fully use my spotify account. I have tried wverything clear cache, reinstall, update IOS, restart. And nothing is working. Please fix this. Thank you

Same Issue -- sleep timer one of the features that are now not accessible because now playing page not showing.

Hi,

 

-I’m running version 9.0.90.1227

-My iPad make is iPad Air (5th generation), with model number MM9N3VC/A.

-The iOS version I’m using is 18.6.2

-I’ve tried closing and reopening the app, clearing the cache, deleting and reinstalling the app, restarting my iPad itself, waiting several hours before trying again.
