The home page of Spotify appears blank always without any content. Only able to play songs from my library. I have reached support team regarding this. They asked me to wait until the next update.
Hey there folks,
Thanks for reporting this and taking the time to add your details.
This should be now fixed. If you're having troubles, make sure to log out and back in your account from your Android device.
If that doesn't do the trick, let us know by starting a new thread in our Help Boards and we'll be happy to lend a hand.
Thanks for posting about this here in the Community!
If you haven't tried them already, we'd suggest giving a try to the following steps:
Perform a clean reinstall of the app on your Android device. You can find the steps in this Spotify Answer.
Try a different network connection. If it works with another connection, we recommend contacting the service provider of the original network for more information.
Try a different device to see if the issue persists. If not, make sure your original device is up to speed with the latest OS updates.
Make sure that Spotify is set as an exception for any cache-clearing app or battery optimization apps.
If none of these do the trick, let us know, along with the following details:
Your device's OS version
The exact version of the Spotify app
Internet service provider (ISP) that this occurs
Our tech teams are aware and looking into this so we'll make sure to pass these details.
We'll be keeping an eye out for your reply. If there's anything else we can help with, don't hesitate to give us a shout.
I've already been guided by Support Team & I've done all those things to check app's behaviour, but still it is in same state without any music suggestions, it is completely blank. I am advised to check with Test Account also. With the Test Account, it is performing well. Then, they concluded that it is an issue related to Account. Then they asked me to wait until the next update without any time frame.
We've received reports that the Home page on the Android app is showing up blank for some users. No worries, we've passed this on to our tech teams and they're investigating this.
We'd first recommend making sure to try the steps provided here, if you haven't already.
If the issue persists after that, let us know by adding your +VOTE here in this thread.
We'll keep you posted on any updates we have here, thanks 🙂
The issue persists for me as well. Got a premium subscription just yesterday, after the subscription the page went blank. The app behaves well if I log in with a different user but gives a blank page with the premium one. I've tried all the given steps to troubleshoot but to no avail.
So I bought Spotify Premium yesterday morning (Aug 1 )
and the home page like all on the other phones here in the comments turned. Everything they said is true for my case too. This became a problem after I bought Premium and did not exist when I had the free version. I had gotten Premium for a day before Aug 1 and the page went blank after I bought Premium. So on Aug 1 morning I linked the 1 day account to another email and once again created a new account with my primary email and logged in as a free account and the home page was working. However as soon as I bought Premium the home page went blank. Few hrs before I had tried all possible solutions you could offer. I clean reinstalled even though I lost 1 gb worth of offline songs I downloaded during the 1 day Premium which I did on July 31st evening. As I said later that night I clean reinstalled several times, I created a free account with yet another email however this was before I changed my 1 day Premium to a whole another email. And the free account was working so I figured it was a problem with my account. Anyways later that day after I got Premium again I had an update on Play Store however it didn't change anything.
Device : OnePlus 3
Operating System : Android Pie
Plan : Premium (3 months)
Country : India
Edit : Spotify App Version 8.5.17.676
Edit : ISP : Vodafone and have tried on other networks too. But Vodafone is my ISP. The issue persists with even other networks.
