Bluetooth, wrong metadata/metadata not updated

Hello,

I am facing an issue and I beleive I am not the only one.

When playing a song in my car (2016 Seat Leon), the track informations are not updated correctly and shows the title of the previous song.

I found a few posts about this issue but no solution :

I tried changing the AVRCP profile to 1.4, 1.5 and 1.6 without success.

The phone is a OnePlus 5T.

For God sake, when will spotify address this issue? I have been waiting since the beginning of this year, are you waiting for us to upgrade to the latest Google OS??? I'm paying the premium package for what?

STATUS: Not Right Now
So there won't be a fix in the near futur? mybe I'll switch to Google Music ... this issue is a huge bumer for me...

The status has not changed since the beginning of this year...

It has been a month since I gave all the information I considered essential and no response from the staff.

Disappointing to pay for a premium service and have bugs like these without any news.

Again, to spotify staff, please answer us and show us that you care.

Yes it's bad.

The only reason why I am still paying is because it's a familly plan and other members does not whant to change (for now).

I am so disappointed in Spotify, it is just a matter of time before I switch to another service, it's sad to think the reason is this simple bug...

Is there any update for this? I have same issue, and had it for a long time. Skoda Octavia.

Its begging to be a while since the first people raised the tech team awareness.

If not fixed, will you then reimburse some of the cost for premium? Price is increased, service decreased. Not customer friendly. Been member for many years, but are not happy

Got the same issue since month. Btw Deezer app has the same problem. I think this issue is made by a Android 8 module which both apps are using.

Someone tried Android 9?

Haven't had the update(HTC U11+), maybe end of this year, but if it's am OS issue, why spotify doesn't say it? Been like this throughout the Android Oreo lifecycle, it's unacceptable when you are paying for a product

Hi

Have same problem. Started when switched from Iphone to android.

Two problems but most likely same root cause:

1. In android you can add "Widgets" to your home screen, weather, Spotify etc. The song showing in the widget is not updated when changing songs.

2. My Audi from 2016 is not updated with new song title and info when changing phones. This has never been a problem with Iphone.

Because they dont care maybe?

I have this wrong titel info with spotify, deezer and amazon music on Oreo. Tried some other Roms, always the same. My GF is using Android One, i think Android 8 aswell and dont has this issue. annoying 😞
