Bluetooth, wrong metadata/metadata not updated

Hello,

I am facing an issue and I beleive I am not the only one.

When playing a song in my car (2016 Seat Leon), the track informations are not updated correctly and shows the title of the previous song.

I found a few posts about this issue but no solution :

Android App: Transmit Track Info via Bluetooth

Wrong title on bluetooth

Wrong Title when playing in car over A2DP

I tried changing the AVRCP profile to 1.4, 1.5 and 1.6 without success.

The phone is a OnePlus 5T.

Regards

I paid 100 euros for firmware update of infotaiment system. It did not fix the problem.

So what? You are working on this issue for almost one years now and there are no news?

Updated my Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 to Pixel Experience Rom (https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-5-pro/development/rom-pixel-experience-t3830197) fixed this issue. I was using RR, AOSPExt, LOS on Android 8 and AOSPExt on Android 9, this Roms had this issure aswell.

So if your phone has a Pixel Experience Rom, try it!

As of yesterday's update March 15 its finally working now.

I updated to a Pixel 3 XL two months ago. Had a Nokia 7 Plus (which had this issue in my Seat Leon 5F built 2016) before. Both phones were/are updated to Android Pie.

With the Pixel this issue is now gone. At least until I'm starting to use Google Assistant (via voice with "OK Google play Playlist XYZ") in the car.

I did not try it with the recent May Update Update for the Pixel yet. I'll report back if this fixed the issue completely.

Same for me!
Oh man, I'm so happy – Thank you!

Edit: Well after another few updates it actually isn't working correctly – again! :"(

I have still this problem with Spotify version 8.5.13.637 and OnePlus 6T (Firmware 9.0.15).

Tested with two different multimedia radios at Skoda Rapid.
Please fix it!

I just tested Spotify Lite with my Nokia8. Everything works fine !

You should try it.

Sound quality is not so good, even highest setting.

Hi I also got this problem in a VW Golf 7 2016. I found multiple threads on this problem on multiple websites. Is there any chance that we get a fix for this problen?

You should try Spotify lite. If you can't find it from playstore, try apk mirror.
