Border issue on Windows desktop clients

Hey 🙂

When my client updated to 1.0.95.289, I noticed a weird-looking border. on Windows 7 there's a black border and a fine white line with transparent gap on top, on Windows 10 the transparency is replaced by white.

Steps to create the issue:
1. Open Spotify
2. Set taskbar to autohide (right-click taskbar, select Properties, add a tick to "auto-hide the Taskbar" and click OK

3. The odd border appears.

The border looks like this:

Earlier it looked like this (don't mind that error message, it was for another issue):

Reinstalling/restarting has not helped me. Enabling/disabling hardware acceleration doesn't work either. This happens on all Windows devices I've tried it on - 2 Windows 7 devices and one Windows 10 device.
I also asked @Maxim to try the steps above and he got a similar border. His screen resolution is heaps better though, so it didnt bother him that much... 🙂

Any ideas? 🙂

Hey folks,

Glad to hear that this has now been fixed with you in the latest app update!

Hey @Sebasty.

Thanks for getting in touch!

Looks like this happens for some of us as well. Is it okay if we move this escalation to the OI's? We can also create a new OI from scratch if you prefer 🙂

Looking forward to your reply.

Hey @Guido, thank you for answering 🙂

You may move this to Ongoing Issues, I don't mind!

(sadly I don't have any previous whole-screen captures without error codes, sorry) :')

Just got the newest update 1.0.98.78.gb45d2a6b and the issue persists...

Hey there,

We're still looking into this. In the meantime, there's a new Spotify version (1.0.99) available. Make sure to have your apps up-to-date and see if it persists. If it does, reinstall the app completely and check again. Keep in mind that your downloaded music will disappear after reinstall and you'll need to it again for offline listening.

Let us know how it goes.
