By removing the notification bell and relying on your algorithms to serve me music. You are directly censoring my relationship with the artist. This intrusion infuriates me and many others. It certainly shafts the artist.
We understand, and we're passing on all feedback about this to the team behind notifications. We have some info about this here: https://community.spotify.com/t5/Desktop-Linux-Windows-Web-Player/Removal-of-desktop-notifications/m...
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
That is a stupid suggestion.
@duncanishwhy? It is literally asking for a notification feed. This exists on the mobile app, they just removed it from desktop for unclear reasons.@Alejandro_CI can't say how much I disdain your response. "Hey this isn't an issue, we did this on purpose" is not a response to a request! There is SO MUCH NEGATIVE FEEDBACK on the thread you linked, but it's not so easy to get all of those people to vote on a post that is created in response to a change. Not to mention, this is an extremely simple software request. An API endpoint already serves the mobile app feature, desktop app just needs an icon to call the api and expose the data. This should be doable in a day, if not a week.
