Can't add songs to collaborative playlists on Spotify Web Player

Can't add songs to collaborative playlists on Spotify Web Player since a recent update - unless I'm missing it somehow. Either way not obvious at all. Can still do it on phone. Seems an incredibly basic thing to overlook in an update.

Hey there @Pook-Terror!

Thanks for reaching out to us on the Spotify Community.
We hope you're well 🙂

There's recently been an update, and a few changes have been made to the web player.
The team here are still working hard on things, so we appreciate your feedback on this. We'll pass this directly on.

You can still use this feature on the app in the meantime, just check out: https://support.spotify.com/using_spotify/playlists/create-playlists-with-your-friends/.

Let us know if there's any other questions 🙂

Best,

/M

Will open.spotify.com ever support this feature again, or am I stuck with the app?

Still an issue, seems like an attempt to force users to switch to the app. Facebook does this with their mobile website and app. Super lame.

Yeh seems that way. Unfortunately the app is blocked at my work so just moved to apple music so backfired for them.

Hopefully this gets resolved. I don't want the bloated app on my phone or on my desktop. I already have a media manager (MediaMonkey) that I use for music. I thought I was doing something wrong.

Don't understand why this is marked as "not an issue" ....as it is clearly still an issue.

Probably by  at least one person who only has a phone or only uses a phone to do everything.

This is of course still an issue.

Supporting the webplayer could be a workaround for the unsupported multiple account use case (e g supporting family accounts).

There are people (such as myself) that cannot use the Spotify desktop app due to workplace restrictions. The inability to use collaborative playlists in these situations is a huge issue and needs to be fixed.

I've just come across this bug - surely in 3 years it's been fixed??????
