Can't share any songs since Oreo update. Sharing sometimes forces app to close on Pixel XL

Status: Fixed

I can't share any songs anymore.  If I try to share anything it either sends me back to the screen I was on or forces the app to close.  This problem started when I upgraded to Oreo.  I have already tried reinstalling the app and it didn't change a thing...same problem.

Is this a known issue yet?

Thanks for bearing with us.

We've heard back form the tech team, and can confirm that this has been resolved.

If you're still having trouble, we'd recommend updating to the latest version of Spotify.

Thanks!

1. Installed G-Playlist widget on Vivoactive HR watch (first)

2. Installed G-Playlist on Pixel XL (second)

3. Uninstalled and re-installed latest version of Spotify (third)

4. Select Share playlist (or album) in Spotify

5. Spotify closes when trying to sync with G-Playlist

Any update on this? It's a major bummer.

Hey there!

Thanks for the patience; we appreciate it. Could everybody make sure their Spotify app is running the latest version? If the issue still occur, could you send over a screenshot of your exact Spotify version?

Thanks a lot; feel free to reach out if you have any questions in the meantime.

Don't "worry about it"?

Paying subrscibers ARE paying for it.

Hey all,

Thanks for staying tuned.

Rest assured the right team have been looking into things here.

Could you try another reinstall for us, with these steps? Let us know if that helps!

If it doesn't do the trick, as mentioned by @Leo, could you reply in this thread with screenshots of the Spotify version you're running?

Many kind thanks,

/M
