Cannot switch to Premium Duo

My Question or Issue

I am attempting to switch from Premium Family to Premium Duo and keep getting the error: "Unable to change plans. This could be because you're not eligible for this plan, you're already on it, or you don't have a stored payment method."

 

I believe I have a stored payment method; my Premium Family renews each month with a saved debit card. I don't see anywhere else to store one.

I have one other member in the family plan (so doesn't exceed 2 for Duo), but I even tried removing that member and still got the error.

 

I don't see anything else I can try. Why wouldn't I be eligible? Why is this failing?

 

I only see one similar post, but they're on Premium Individual and getting a different error:

We’re happy to say that this should now be fixed for everyone! Make sure your app is updated to the latest version.


If you're still having trouble, try first canceling your current subscription before activating Premium Duo. It would be best if you start the plan through our website using an incognito browser

If that doesn't work, make sure to post a new thread in the relevant help board
here.

This is still not working for me. On a Windows 10 PC using Chrome I now get
the same error message but on the "Change Plans" page instead of when
navigating back to the "Account overview" screen: "Unable to change plans.
This could be because you're not eligible for this plan, you're already on
it, or you don't have a stored payment method."

I updated my Android Spotify app but I don't even see where you can change
plans in the app. "View Profile" only shows some recently played items and
"Edit Profile" only lets me change my nickname and photo.

I have a saved payment method. I am on Premium Family. I have one other
family member, but I also tried removing them so only I was left and it
still gave me the error and didn't let me switch to Duo.

This issue does not appear to be fixed.

Eu tinha plano grátis, em 05/07 fiz plano duo familiar para mim e minha filha. No computador diz que estou no plano duo, mas tanto o meu celular quanto no dela ainda estamos no grátis. O que fazer? já desinstalei o aplicativo do celular várias vezes e continua no grátis

I'm having the same problem. Tried cancelling my current premium plan and adding the Duo plan in an incognito browser. But still receiving the same error.

Tinha uma conta individual,mudei para o pelo duo Premium,automaticamente a conta anterior é cancelada? Como faço para incluir a outra pessoa?

Still getting this issue as well. Same screenshots as those attached by other commenter. Incognito mode offers no fix. Canceling the account, then logging in again to try to change to the Family Plan is not option either. The only options are: restart Premium account or to choose the Student account. 

 

Yes, I could feasibly create a whole new account, but what about the time left on my current Premium account?

 

Please advise.

I have a similar but worse issue. It let me change plan to a 6 month duo plan (Not one year) and I even made the payment, but account still show individual plan but now my sub has extended by 6 more months.
