[CarPlay] Your Library tab missing

All of a sudden the library tab when using spotify through carplay is gone. Pretty hard to find my music without grabbing my mobile phone.

 

Is there a way to adjust the tabs on the top of the screen so I can get the button to my library back? (added picture I found to illustrate what is missing)10-best-apple-carplay-apps-10.jpg

Hi. my carplay does not work with spotify. menus are sometimes missing and sometimes not. the library menu is available one day, but not the next.

Just so we're on the same page, could you let us know if you already tried the suggestions that were previously mentioned on this thread?

 

It's always worth running a clean reinstall of the app to ensure all corrupted files are removed and to be running the latest version of the app. Also, make sure that your car audio system and phone are running the latest firmware/OS versions.

 

If the issue persists, we'd like to know exactly what's going on, so a couple of screenshots would come in handy so we can take a closer look.

 

We'd also like to know when this started happening and if it was after a specific event, such as an app or OS version.

 

Keep us posted. We'll be looking out for your reply.

yes I have tried all your previous advice and reinstallations.

 

I bought a brand new car in November, the problem has existed from the beginning. I've tested my phone in my sister's car and it's the same problem there. so there is nothing wrong with the car.

If possible, could you try from a different phone and let us know if the issue persists?

 

We'd also like you to try logging in to a different account, like a friend's or relative's, on your phone and trying with that so we can determine if this is account or device-related.

Hi,

 

I reproduce the issue this morning, even if don't really know how.

Spotify was already running in background on my iphone.

 

I plugged the iphone AFTER the engine was already started.

Here is what I had on both the iphone and the carplay displays.

After I closed Spotify on the iphone (iphone 11, swipe up to open multi-task and then close the app swiping it up), the missing tabs on the carplay appeared. Which is strange actually, because I would have imagined the app would also have been closed on the CArplay, as it was closed on the iphone....

We've moved this thread to our Ongoing Issue to make it easier to find for users also experiencing this.

 

If you're experiencing this and you haven't already, let us know the following:

  • Your device and its OS version
  • The Spotify app version
  • The car make/model this is happening on. Be sure your car’s supported by CarPlay.
  • What troubleshooting steps you've tried and what happens (eg. a clean reinstall on your phone or updating your OS/firmware, restarting devices etc)
  • Does unplugging your phone > quitting Spotify > reconnecting the phone > launching the app help?
  • Any other details or screenshots that could be helpful - just make sure that there's no sensitive or private info displayed

We'll be keeping you posted here so make sure you're subscribed to this thread. We'd also recommend adding your +VOTE to indicate that you're experiencing this issue.
