Carplay Spotify since iOS 11 Update

Dear Spotify Support

since update to iOS 11 Spotify via Carplay does not work as before. Main issue is that playlists within sub-files (playlist within a file within a file - in German: Playlists in Unterordnern) are empty.

 

On my iPhone, on my iPad and on my Mac I can still see the songs in these playlists. This is definitely linked to the iOS update.

 

Could you please advise what to do.

Hey @forum01, welcome to the Spotify Community!

 

 

We'd recommend restarting your device by holding Home + Lock for 10 seconds. After that, give it a go once again. Also, if possible, could you use a different USB cable to connect it to your car?

Yes, I still have trouble. I learned from your support that you are somewhat not very curios to look behind the problem. I would have expected that you would forward that issue to your software team. Furthermore, I would have expected that you at least try to „re-enact“ the problem, I described it very diligently

Nothing of this happened, what is very disappointing.

It's great to hear that you've been in contact with the Support team however, and that they were able to look into this more for you. We'll pass your feedback about this directly on. 

 

In the meantime, if you're in touch with Support now, they'll be the best team to keep lending a hand. (If this isn't the case though, do let us know so that we can see what we can suggest).
