Casting queue to Chromecast songs repeat randomly

Chromecast ultra. Spent 20 minutes creating a queue for a party and songs randomly repeat and I have to manually skip them to get the queue working again. This has been happening for over a year. Using android device to cast (Nexus 6)

Do you remember if this started happening after a specific update or event? Also, could you let us know what device, operating system and Spotify version you're using?

This has happened ever since I bought the Chromecast.

My device is a Nexus 6 running Android 7.1.1 and my Spotify version is
8.4.9.271 armV7

Just to confirm, have you checked for updates on the Chromecast's Firmware? Also, let us know if you've ever experienced any similar issue with another app.

 

You could also try restarting your Internet connection and re-connecting every device to the network. If it's still not working, a clean reinstall might do the trick.

Everything has been reinstalled and updated, tried with google play music
and the issue does not happen.

Let us know if this happens only when you start adding song to the queue, or also when you play from a playlist. Also, let us know if the Repeat or Shuffle options are activated. We'll see what else to suggest.

Repeat and shuffle are not active and this only seems to happen when
managing a queue and not a playlist.

Is it possible to use a different device to test it? Let us know if you get the same result when managing a queue. If it continues to happen, let us know every piece of info you consider important. It might be worthy to report this.

Could you let us know the exact Firmware on your Chromecast device? We'd recommend connecting to another WiFi network and let us know how it goes.

I do not have a second wifi network to test.
