Connecting to spotify.... in Android Notification

My Question or Issue

 Since the latest update, I get the message in the notification bar "Connecting to spotify" (sorry, living in germany, hopefully I've translated correct) 

This is new for me. The app is closed, so why is such an active reminder there?

No screenshot but message says "Connecting to Spotify" It's never there for more then around 20 seconds.

The notification pops up every 30 seconds or so and just states: Spotify - Now   "Connecting to Spotify".

It has the Spotify logo on the lock screen.

It is only visible for about 5 seconds and then disappears again.

App is closed (swiped up on app wheel to close, not just quick close).
