My Question or Issue

After my spotify automatically updated via wifi, it won't open anymore. After I tap the app, it will just load for a second, then will give me a black screen and a error message saying connection failed. 

I tried to uninstall the app then install it again, it worked. But after some hours, it went back to the black screen and same Connection Failed message again.

We’re receiving a lot of reports that the app no longer crashes with the ‘Connection Failed’ error message on Vivo devices.

 

We’re marking this thread as ‘Fixed’ because of this. If you’re still experiencing this, feel free to start another thread in the relevant Help board and one of our Stars or us will be happy to continue helping.

Hi, I already uninstall and re install spotify for how many times. It's been 4 or 5 days ago and until know I can't use it because of the "connection failed" that will appear everytime I open the app. Thank You I hope you respond as soon as possible. My premium will end soon and it's nonsense now because I can't use the app anymore. Phone : Vivo V5lite Country : Philippine

Hi 

I'm having the same problem with my vivo V5.

 

Reinstalled 6 times.

Restarted my phone a few times.

Still puts connection failed after a few minutes.

I'm same issue too. I am using VIVO v7+ and after automatic update I can't connect anymore. Please fix this problem or just give us a refund for this inconveniences. Thank you!

I'm willing to send logs of what happens on my device. I haven't been able to use Spotify on my phone for a week now.

Having same problem here, i have to reinstall the app for times just to avoid the Connection Failed screen.

Still there's no better way for now.

I'm using Vivo V5, and yeah, same problem here as well. I've already DM @SpotifyCares on Twitter. They are aware of this problem and probably taking action to solve it right now ^^

I was able to go around the connection failed issue with my vivo 9 by downloading all my playlists and I set it to offline mode. It only shows connection failed if I'm connected to the wifi before I open the app and it's not set to offline mode.

It works fine if I have set it to offline mode before closing it.

I am using Vivo V9 and i also have a Pixel 1 and Iphone.  I dont have issues on Pixel and iphone but i get the connection failed screen on my vivo V9.  I am premium customer with a Malaysia Account but living in India
