Desktop App - Back button doesn't remember position in playlist

Hey folks,

We've received some reports mentioning that after the recent update, the back button on Windows Desktop app doesn't remember position in playlist.

Hey folks,

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this issue.

We’re happy to announce that this should now be fixed for everyone - just make sure you're running the latest version of Spotify.

If you're still having trouble you can post a new thread in the relevant help board here.

Have a good one!

I'm gonna chime in here because this has been driving me crazy.

Are there 2 developers in total working on Spotify UX? That really is the only explanation i can come up with why A) Changes take forever to implement and B) Whenever something is actually changed its multiple steps backwards.

The following used to be a KEY feature in spotify since FOREVER.

1. You open a playlist with multiple hundred entries.

2. You begin scrolling down said playlist

3. You find a Band that interests you

4. You click on said Band and listen to 2-3 Songs.

5. You click on Arrow Back

6. You are back EXACTLY where you were before and can continue scrolling on your merry way

The function NOW is broken beyond compare.

Not only does the playlist not remember where it was before, it jumps around randomly. So now when i go back i'm either at the very top of the playlist (Imagine you've been scrolling for a couple of minutes and now you're back to square one, you have to scroll all the way back down and pay attention because you've only seen these bands once and you have no clue where you were before.)
Sometimes the Playlist will be in completely random positions.

To me it sounds like a bug that appeared because people were working on features who have no idea that this is actually a feature that exists. Hence why it's now broken.

Either way, to have this completely standard feature of ANY Browser back - would be fantastic. Thank you very much.

This seems to be now fixed in Windows (64 bit) v1.2.19.941.gbf202593. Thank you, although this took weeks and should have not been broken in first place.
