My Question or Issue

When I search for  a playlist that I just created I get the below screen. And then I can't see any playlist anymore. And I can't go back.

Please can you just let us use the older spotify versions that worked with me reporting new issues every week?

Hey folks,

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this issue.

We’re happy to say that this should now be fixed for everyone! Just make sure your app is updated to the latest version.

If you're still having trouble, make sure to post a new thread in the relevant help board here.

Thanks!

Hi there @songsome,

Thanks for reaching out about this.

Sorry to hear that you're having such a bad experience.

We'd suggest you try reinstalling the app, following this Guide. If you haven't done so already.

If the issue persists you can try to clear any entries that may contains Spotify from your Host files. As those may cause multiple errors on some devices.

Keep us posted on how you get on with this.

songsome

Stop telling me to "turn it off and on again". I've done that a million times already.

Alex

Hey @songsome,

Thanks for the reply.

We're trying to help you out. I've never mentioned turning it off and on. Doing a clean reinstall of the app is a necessary first part of troubleshooting any issue, as a lot of them are caused by corrupted cache, which is cleared in the process.

You can also try removing the Host file entries that contain Spotify, following the steps from the link above.

Another thing you can try is to log in with another account to see if the app behaves the same way. This way you can check if the issue is related to your specific account or to the app on your device.

Cheers.

1. Clean install is you guys version of "turn it on and off again"

2. I don't have "Your Library" in my other account because it's free

Alex

Hey @songsome,

You should be able to see Your Library even on a free account.

Let us know if you encounter the same issues when making playlists on the free account at all.

Cheers.

songsome

Nope. I don't get "Your Library" in the free account.

And I have to say, it kinda sucks that I'm running QA for you, for free. Logging in and out of accounts is not fun if I'm not getting paid.

The sub tab (which I just spotted) does not include Playlists

Hi again @songsome

Thanks for your reply. We're sorry to hear that you feel like this, we'll do our best to help you sort this out.

Would you mind giving it a try with a different internet connection?

Also, let us know if you have issues finding your playlists from a different device.

Keep us posted.

songsome

Nope. This only happens on my desktop. Also, no, it does not depend on the network connection. It's a UI/UX bug.

Also, is there a way to pin my Recently Played, Continue Listening and Made for You on the top of my homepage on all devices.

They keep moving and it's pretty annoying. Do I need a new ticket for that?

Eni

Hey there @songsome

Thanks for getting back in touch and letting us know that.

Could you let us know the exact make/model, operating system and Spotify version of your device?

Also, just to confirm, have you tried with a different connection? We recommend trying with a different network, for example creating a hot spot on your phone and using that - if that's possible.

Currently, it's not possible to pin certain sections in the Home page. However, it seems that other users would also like having this option. You can add your vote on this Existing idea and subscribe to the thread for any updates.

You can also check how your feedback reaches Spotify here

Keep us posted!

Same issue.

With WiFi and LAN. With VPN on and off. You've got an idea that the network affects the UI/UX which is weird to start with but no, it does not affect this happening when I search for a query in my playlist that I should return nothing. And then to view my Playlists, I have to close and open my Spotify.

Again, it's pretty annoying that I have to do your QAs job for y'all. Have your head honchos hire enough staff to test your builds before deploying them.

Please.
