We’re looking into an issue with pausing a song in Liked Songs in the Windows desktop app. Trying to pause a song by clicking on the pause button which appears when hovering over the song that is playing will not pause the song, but instead it will restart the same song.
If you’re experiencing the issue as described above, could you provide us with the following info so that we can pass it on to the relevant team:
Thanks! We'll let you know as soon as we have any updates on this.
Thank you for reporting this issue to us.
We just wanted to let you know that the right folks are looking into this.
We're not able to provide an exact timeline for a fix, but we'd recommend always keeping your Spotify app up to date to ensure you're on the latest version.
Please see the original post for instructions - thanks 🙂
On Spotify version 18.104.22.1684.g282a2807 running on Windows 7 laptop:
1. Go to Liked Songs.
2. Hit Play on either the green Play button or any of the songs.
3. Hit the play button on the playing song.
4. ...profit (it does a visual glitch whilst restarting the song)
Hitting Spacebar will pause the playing track. Hitting the green (Pause) button will pause playback.
Here is the recording of what happens on my end.
