I'm unable to resume after i pause the music for a few minutes with my headphones over bluetooth.

Hey everyone,

Thank you for reporting this issue to us.

We just wanted to let you know that the right folks are looking into this.

We're not able to provide an exact timeline for a fix, but we'd recommend always keeping your Spotify app and all devices fully up-to-date.

Thanks!

I'm experiencing this same issue. Disconnecting from my Airpods & reconnecting does the trick, but I am still able to hear all system sounds and play songs from iTunes before I do that.

Why is this issue marked as "Not right now", are you kidding me? This is a paid service, this is unacceptable.

Is this ever going to get fixed? It's almost every time I leave my computer for a few minutes, and it seems the only fix is to restart Spotify.

Hi fellow frustrated Spotify users,

I think I may have found a workaround/fix for this. Its only been a few hours but it seems to work for me at least so far. Here's what I did:

Open the macosx sound preferences, and under the input tab, set it to internal microphone.

I suspect the microphone on the bluetooth headset may have something to do with the issue.

Like I said, it seems to work for me so far, but time will tell I guess.

Give it a try, you've got nothing to lose since the guys at Spotify don't seem interested in fixing this.

As a premium account holder, it sucks that I have to resort to my own workarounds to get a product that I pay for to work as it should. What a world we live in eh ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

UPDATE:

The joy was shortlived. Issue still remains 😞

@shaliru Your solution somehow makes it a bit better or maybe it's just coincidence, but unfortunately it stops working after a while.

@ke-xr6k_5mm9r yes it does seem to help. That's why I initially thought it was a permanent fix 😁

 Hello, everyone,

I updated to 1.1.32.618.gda5638a6 12 hours ago, after paused it and left it for the whole night, it still work well. It seems the problem has been solved. However, we still need sometime to test, just leave this message,  hope this version fixed the historical frustrating problem. 🙂

Update:

Sorry , the problem still exist... 🙃

Same issue for me. Been persistent for months now (if not years?), across several bluetooth devices.

Device: MacBook Pro (13 inch 2016 late)
macOS Catalina: 10.15.2
Spotify Version: 1.1.32.618.gda5638a6

I love Spotify, but after looking at this thread... guys, give me one good reason to not leave for a competing service? 😕

brainstewdgek

This has been plaguing me for almost 3 years now.

How is this not a high priority for Spotify?
