[Desktop] Volume Slider Lag

Description:

Under certain conditions, the volume slider suffers from major lag. 

To reproduce:

1. Launch spotify
2. Change volume using slider

Workaround:

None

Additional information:

• This only appears to affect Windows systems from the reports so far, so if you are seeing this on other platforms please let us know! 
• Excellent post by @pmreis here may offer some insight to developers. 

If you are having either of these issues please can you post below:

- Your Operating System (Windows 7, Mac OS X 10.9.4 etc)

- Your Spotify version (Help/Spotify > About and click to copy to clipboard)

- What type of graphics card your PC/Mac has (if known)? 

- Any other details that might be useful

Thanks a lot for this, I've been having this issue for over 3 months now (Only in big playlists)

- Your Operating System : Windows 7

- Your Spotify version : 0.9.12.10.g89b2a4fc

- What type of graphics card your PC/Mac has : XFX 6970 on my desktop, Nvidia 610m on laptop

- Any other details that might be useful : Only have this problem on large playlists. I got one with 3000+ songs which is a pain to change the volume :(. Not only the volume bar becomes slower, I noticed the 'shuffle' and 'repeat' buttons become slower aswell.

GPU: nVidia GTX 570, driver version: 337.88

CPU: i7 3820

Sys Mem: 16GB

Sound chip: Realtek alc898, all outputs set to 16 bit, 48KHz. All sound effects disabled.

Useful details: the lag time is directly proportional to the playlist size.

Using Windows 7 Home Premium with Spotify version 0.9.15.27.g87efe634, been an issue for half a year now... 

Only in big playlists (1000 songs+). Got this issue on multiple PC's & Laptops
