Desktop app doesn't scroll up when moving song to the top

Hey folks,

We have received reports that since a recent update, it's not possible to drag tracks upwards in a playlist on the desktop app if you want to manually rearrange them.

When reaching the edge of the current view, the playlist does not scroll up to allow the rearrangement. Scrolling down works.

Hey everyone,

Thanks for your patience while we looked into this issue.

We’re happy to say that this should now be fixed for everyone! Just make sure your app is updated to the latest version.

If you're still having trouble, make sure to post a new thread in the relevant help board here.

Thanks!

@atters yep, I was able to do the same this morning, and the issue seems to be fixed in Windows 10, Spotify version
1.1.76.447.g11f432d8

For right now, you do seem to have to go through the Help menu in the upper left, and the link to download the update is in the About Spotify window where it shows what version you are running.

Spotify for Windows
1.1.76.447.g11f432d8

Finally, the Windows 10 app software indicated an update was available, and the problem is fixed!

Spent time on here yesterday being told this simple fix was available, downloading, installing twice. Now, 24-hrs later, it is actually now available for Windows. grrr

Finally after weeks.. You would think an automatic update would have come through. Nope Spotify forces us to go to Microsoft Store to get it and it says already installed..

Finallyyyyy aaaaaahhhh

Issue is now resolved! I saw the blue dot on my Spotify and I thought this is it, and it is!

Thank you, now I can move my songs freely again!

The issue is not fixed for me and I'm still not seeing any available updates.  I'm running version  1.1.74.631.g0b24d9ad and this matches the latest version on the Spotify website. To those who have commented that the issue is fixed, what am I missing?

If there isn't an update under the About tab, my guess is completely uninstall it, reboot, download the latest version you can find and then check for updates under the About tab.

Ha, one month into this fiasco. Is there no "reset" button for the code for this painfully simple feature? I hope this didn't start with Adele whining about fans shuffling her precious new album. I wouldn't dare do that to Operation Mindcrime, but you don't hear Queensrÿche bemoaning it. How much wealth does one person need?

I like to make pithy haikus with song titles in my created lists--it brings me a teeny, tiny mote of joy with all these existential crises looming over large swaths of the world. E.g.:

"The Hate is Real" by Body Count

"Economic Oppression" by Hello Bastards

"Elective Amnesia" by Rise Against

"You Reap What You Sow" by Korzus

"Take the Blame" by High Priestess

"The Price We Pay" by Clawfinger

"At the Mountains of Madness" by Diamond Plate

You get the idea. Please fix this absurd issue asap.
