Desktop app doesn't scroll up when moving song to the top

Hey folks,

 

We have received reports that since a recent update, it's not possible to drag tracks upwards in a playlist on the desktop app if you want to manually rearrange them.

 

When reaching the edge of the current view, the playlist does not scroll up to allow the rearrangement. Scrolling down works.

I am very happy to report that the update has (finally) been pushed through and the bug has been fixed. Thank you for taking care of this, Spotify. Hallelujah!

Still not fixed and Spotify has not even bothered to update the status of this issue. This should be a very easy fix since it worked before they broke it. Its not as if this is new functionality we are asking for.  Incompetence, indifference, and non-existent customer service is a very bad combination for the customer base. I can only shake my head at this point.  Giving Apple Music a try. We'll see how that stacks up.

A fix for this issue should be available with the latest app update, however we're still receiving reports that some of you are experiencing this issue. 

 

For anyone still experiencing this, could you make sure that you have the most recent version of the app installed and share if the issue persists? If that's the case, we'd appreciate it if you also include in your reply the following:

 

  • PC/Mac + OS version
  • Exact Spotify version

We know that this can be disruptive for your Spotify experience, and we'll do our best to figure out what might still be causing this issue.

 

Keep us posted. We'll be on the lookout for your replies.

Thanks sincerely, Alex. Not sure why it didn't automatically upload like a thousand other versions, but I did so manually and the scrolling-up code is working as it should now. (iMac, North America) \m/
