Devices are not syncing

Multiple users report that playback throughout their devices is not syncing. Apparently, this makes it possible to play different content from the same Spotify account simultaneously on different devices, but users can't control what they're listening to using Spotify Connect across the devices and cannot use the Jam feature.

Hey folks,

Thanks for the provided details!

This should now be fixed and if you're still experiencing the same issue, we recommend updating the app to the newest version.

Cheers 🙂

My Question or Issue

Airplay has randomly stopped working for me on all devices when I've experienced no issues with it before (it stopped working literally an hour after I last used it). Tried all steps on the FAQ with no results, and my wifi is stable, though my PC's spotify has gotten very laggy since it stopped working. Any advice would be appreciated! 🙂

Question or Issue

For the past few days this worked just fine. I used to study with my music streamed from my phone, spotify web on computer and mini player on. But since today, I can't get my music info from my phone to my computer.

Chiming here to say a similar thing has happened to me. iOS 17.3, and all my Alexa Speakers have vanished, showing ‘No devices found on this network’.

However, I can manually get it to play a recent playlist via the ‘Amazon Alexa’ app, but upon opening Spotify it doesn’t show anything is actually playing 😞

My Question or Issue

I have been using my Sonos p1 speaker for years, connecting to it with the Spotify app. Today I tried to connect and, whilst the app can find the phone, it will not connect. I can however connect via the Sonos app.

I have deleted and re linked the account in the Sonos app.
I have logged in and out of the app

I have restarted my phone

I have restarted my router.

I can connect to other devices on my network so it is not an issue with my network.

Please advise how I resolve this issue.

My Spotify account is allowing me to play two different songs on two different devices AKA saying I'm not already listening to music when I am. It is the same account on both devices. It has also stopped tracking on last.fm and has stopped connecting to my discord. I have already tried updating the app and resetting my computer. I am using the same wifi network on both devices. Things were working fine this morning and suddenly stopped.

Echo device list still showing up in browser version of Spotify app but all native versions like Android and iOS are broken currently. Multiple threads on this. Hopefully Spotify is working on it. In the meantime, using the browser version of the app is working fine.

Same here, but with Yamaha receiver. Restartet everything, everything is updated. Doesn't work from Windows-App and iOS-App. Can play different songs on both apps, but not the receiver.

@Hallchin: you should be able to use Airdrop via Spotify-app, instead of Spotify connect

Having the same issue. Found that playing stuff via the web player seems to connect with Discord and scrobble to Last.fm like normal - but yeah, none of the devices on my network are able to detect each other right now.

Question or issue - Very similar issue with me, I can't connect to my Windows laptop or PS5 through my phone, both can play normally and laptop connects to PS5. If playing music on my laptop it doesn't show any of the information on my phone at all as it normally would. Issue has started today.
