Discover Weekly is empty

We're receiving reports from users that their Discover Weekly playlist is empty.

This is happening across devices (Android, iOS, MacOS, Windows), as well as in the Web Player.

Hey folks,

Thanks to everyone that's posted and given the thread their vote!

We've got an update from our tech team that this should now be fixed. Please try to log out > log back in twice in a row. It may sound a bit odd, but this helps re-sync your account and device(s).

Cheers 🙂

Mine has appeared again, on all three of my devices - iPhone, MacBook air, and Apple TV box on my tv. I sent a friend a link to my discovery weekly and ask if she could see anything. She took a screenshot and there was a full playlist. She shared the playlist back with me, and as soon as I clicked on the link, it worked on all three devices. So don't bother messing with caches, deleting apps etc, as the issue is obvs with Spotify.

Discover Weekly has spontaneously been repopulated for me. Thanks team.

So I talked to Spotify via Twitter and they gave a solution, for me right now the playlist appears as usual (after I followed the instructions).

These are the instructions they brought me:

Thank you for letting us know! Before proceeding, we'd like to ask you to perform a Clean Reinstall of the App, this will ensure a fresh version of the App is installed on your device. To do a fresh reinstall, kindly follow these steps:

1. Open your phone's settings and navigate to Apps.
2. Find Spotify in your list of apps and tap on it.
3. Select Storage & Cache.
4. Select Clear Storage.
5. Once done, go back and select Uninstall.
6. Open your file manager app and navigate to Internal Storage\Android\data.
7. If you see a folder called com.spotify.music delete it.
Optional: Repeat this for you're using an SD card. The file structure should be the same and the folder will be in SD Card\Android\data.
8. Once all this is done, restart your device.
9. Open the Google Play Store and install Spotify from there.

Please keep in mind that this will delete your downloaded songs from your device, but not from your Playlists. When you do these steps and log back in, if you still can't see the songs on the Playlist, please let us know the Make, Model, and Operating System of the device and the Spotify version you're using.

I'm still having this issue. I've tried logging in and out again on my desktop app and android phone app (multiple times on each) and the playlist is still blank.

The suggested fix does not fix it (Android, MacOS, Windows).
