Downtime April 16th: App and website not loading

We're seeing reports from users that the app isn't loading properly or that they're experiencing playback issues. Others report that they're having issues accessing the Support site.

 

This seems to happen both on mobile and desktop devices.

I'm still having some problems with Spotify at the moment:

 

  • I can't login with my password, only the web app login with a one-time code works.
  • The Android app is completely broken, neither password login nor one-time password nor password reset works.
  • Some songs in the web app stop playing after a few seconds or can't be played at all.

I don't agree that this issue is fixed. Spotify hasn't worked well since the problems started yesterday.

I was having similar issues. What you have to do is change your password. I checked my email and it said due to suspicious activity detected, they wanted me to change my password. I did that and now it works fine. Maybe try that?

The web browser app keeps automatically shutting off my volume - at random times. And if i try to correct it, it freaks out

The app is trash cant do anything at the moment, FIX IT we pay way to mutch to have so many problems all the time.

Thanks a lot @Markwassetonfire ! Using the one-time password and the web app I was able to open https://www.spotify.com/de/account/ and navigate to https://www.spotify.com/de/account/login-methods/. There the mail address and password were not set as active. I added this method, re-entered my mail address, set a new password and then I was able to login to the Android app with the new credentials.

 

I haven't received any email about suspicious activities on my account, but I haven't received any password reset mails either.

Hi there. Spotify is working on my desktop, but my "On repeat" playlist hasn't update two weeks ago, and that was my fave playlist. I don't know if I'm the one who has this problem, but I need help :'v

My app keep crushing no metter which version I install on my android car multimedia 

I have android 6.3 and no app version compatible to load .

After logging the app keep crushing .

It's official multimedia screen from suzuki factory with blocked Google play so I have to install spotify from third-party  site 

 

Wich version should will work for me with no crushing on android 6.3? 

 

I'm almost giving up

website is not loading up, and the app is not searching new songs or able to play new songs, only the previously downloaded songs are playing.
