Downtime April 16th: App and website not loading

We're seeing reports from users that the app isn't loading properly or that they're experiencing playback issues. Others report that they're having issues accessing the Support site.

This seems to happen both on mobile and desktop devices.

I can access the Web App now, but nothing is loading. Just get, "That didn't work, search for something else?"

EDIT: I can now access my Liked Songs and play it, but cannot see any of my other playlists

Okay, desktop is working. Still a bit sluggish, but not timing out.

Things still not behaving on mobile apps. Biggest problem I'm seeing is trying to pull up someone's profile.

Can’t believe we are paying for such an overpriced subscription and now we are losing access to it. This is so scummy.

What's weird is that the Spotify client is also having difficulty loading downloaded songs. Since they're supposed to be available when offline, you'd think that doesn't require a connection back to Spotify servers to work, right?

The downloaded songs do load after a couple of seconds, but the UI hangs for a solid 5 seconds before this is the case.

Spotify lately has become a pain. Lags so bad,and their fix for everything is delete cache, log out, uninstall the app and re-install and try that.

I can’t play any music. Tried every possible thing and it always stops at 10 seconds and loads for an hour no matter what song i play. I’m actually so mad rn I have to travel for 10 hours today listening to youtube 🫨
