Downtime November 18th: Spotify app crashing on iOS

We've received some contacts from users who are having issues with the app crashing. This seems to be happening on iOS devices at the moment. 

This is being investigated.

i have been experiencing the same thing i have even uninstalled the app and restarted my phone yet it did nothing i really do hope that this gets fixed soon so best of luck to the devs

This is happening to me. I have an iPhone 8 with ios 14.8.1. Spotify version 8.6.80. It crashes after maybe a minute or two of playing music. I've already done a clean reset of the app and have restarted my phone. Spotify has also been draining my battery very quickly lately.

I've performed a clean reset of the app following the instructions from support but that did not fix it.
