[ERROR] Error name in the title of many songs

Status: Closed
0 Likes

Hello!

I found a problem in the title of these songs in the same Soundtrack:

spotify:track:6MLptqfOLeV8uwAqwXaZ1v
spotify:track:0g7S3JquNLgjMyIv7vdcaE
spotify:track:50bJvQSgfHFeZImFfp4QK4
spotify:track:5uODHxCoTuirCnk0oEYyYv
spotify:track:445Tdyge4wC6Qr7wosq5OY

In your databases, the songs have 1 point but in my local file, these songs have 2 points! So Spotify doesn't detect these musics and so I don't have the best quality.

Justification for the no detection:f5f6b7bbc7

79e8f9fce6

Justification for the 2 points (In VLC): 551272da29

Justification for the 2 points (From Bandcamp): https://furi.bandcamp.com/album/furi-original-soundtrack

EDIT: Steam is not a good justification but it's here where I bought the OST. The link is now the bandcamp site.

Hi @Frederic94500! Thanks for writing on the Community.

Can you explain to us what you mean by 1 point and 2 points? Does this continue happening when you activate the Offline Mode on your app?

Keep us posted.

Frederic94500

Hello! Sorry for the late reponse.

About the 1 point, 2 points, it's this:

  • 1 point = . (dot)
  • 2 points = :

And about offline mode, they doesn't be detected because the songs haven't the same name.

Hors connexion = Offline in French

JulianA_Bogota

Thanks for clarifying that.

Just to check, could you let us know the audio format of the tracks in question?

We'll see what we can suggest.

Frederic94500

All songs are on .mp3

JulianA_Bogota

Roger that, @Frederic94500.

Could you let us know if the same happens when you sync those local files on to any other devices you have?

Make sure to keep us in the loop.

Frederic94500

Hello!

You can see in his photos, 6:24, 7:53, 8:02, 19:06 and 19:07 from Danger doesn't be upload in my tablet and my phone.

Thanks for the screenshots.

In this case, when you upload your local files, Spotify will try to find a match with the metadata we have and if it finds it it will play the song from our catalog over the local file. In this case, it's possible that some of the tracks are being linked to a song we have available so it's playing that one.

We'd suggest changing your track's metadata to see if it helps.

Let us know how you get on.
Frederic94500

Alright, I just change a metadata of one song (19:07 - Danger) and the song was detected by Spotify and the song was uploaded.

Tablet/Phone sync:

Local file (metadata):

But I don't want to change the metadata of all songs (I like the authentic name), so it's possible to change in the server of Spotify, the name of the songs?

EDIT: add letter

AndyJoel

Thanks for letting us know!

At the moment, it's not possible to change the information on Spotify. We'd suggest changing the track's metadata on your end.

We'll make sure to pass your feedback on to the right team!

Have a great day.

Frederic94500

Ah... But, why it's not possible to change the information on Spotify?
