My Question or Issue

I received my S10+ and offer for 6 months of premium is not showing up in the spotify app for my new account. I have never had premium or a trial. Not sure what to do.

Hey there folks,

Thanks for all your reports so far regarding this.

This should now be fixed. If you have troubles, make sure to perform a quick reinstall following the steps here to ensure you're rocking the latest version available and try again.

Please keep in mind that the offer the offer is available for users in the US with an S10 or S10+ that have never had Premium before.

If that doesn't do the trick, we'd like to know. Just head over to our Help Boards and add all the relevant information (for example, exact model of your device and version of the Spotify app) so we can take another look.

Cheers!

Hey @jordanres,

Thanks for coming to the Community.

The offer is only available in the latest Spotify app for Android. You may need to set-up your Google account so you can get the latest version from the Play Store.

After you got the latest version of the Spotify app, follow these steps:

  1. Log into the Spotify app on your Galaxy S10
  2. Click on the Premium tab
  3. You'll then see the 6 months Premium offer, click on "Get Premium"
  4. You will now be guided through the activation process (this includes entering payment details etc.)
  5. After you've entered all required info, you should be shown a confirmation screen.

Let me know how it goes 🙂

This is not working for me either on my S10. I've NEVER had a spotify account before. I didn't uninstall the app (initiall). I signed up within the app on the S10. I went through the whole pick what artists you like setup wizard. Then tapped on Premium at the bottom and only see s 30 day trial. I then tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it to try to get the 6 month trial. I never got it to work. I was hoping to try it since Google Play Music (current provider) is going to YouTube Music and I'm not sure if I'll like the change.

Hey everyone,

Can you please make sure that you are not using any VPN/Proxy on your device? It's also recommended to give it a try when connected to a different internet connection.

Let me know how it goes. 🙂

The behavior in the app has changed since yesterday. I was checking what would happen if I switched networks like you suggested. So I turned off WiFi (Verizon FiOS) to switch to LTE (Verizon Wireless). Then I got the attached screen. This one is a bit bizarre because there is no way to actually sign up for premium at all. It just tells me about it. I also tried to access the sign up screen other ways such as through settings. I always got led back here to the attached screen.Premium Sign Up Screen With No Way to Sign UpPremium Sign Up Screen With No Way to Sign Up

After that, make sure your make sure you sign up with these steps (try with different internet connections and turn off any VPN connections you may have on):

  1. Log into the Spotify app on your Galaxy S10

  3. You'll then see the 6 months Premium offer, click on "Get Premium"
  4. You will now be guided through the activation process (this includes entering payment details etc.)
  5. After you've entered all required info, you should be shown a confirmation screen.

If that doesn't work, and if you haven't already, hit the +Vote button and let us know the following:
