My Question or Issue

I received my S10+ and offer for 6 months of premium is not showing up in the spotify app for my new account. I have never had premium or a trial. Not sure what to do.

Hey there folks,

Thanks for all your reports so far regarding this.

This should now be fixed. If you have troubles, make sure to perform a quick reinstall following the steps here to ensure you're rocking the latest version available and try again.

Please keep in mind that the offer the offer is available for users in the US with an S10 or S10+ that have never had Premium before.

If that doesn't do the trick, we'd like to know. Just head over to our Help Boards and add all the relevant information (for example, exact model of your device and version of the Spotify app) so we can take another look.

Cheers!

Hey there folks,

There's a newer version of the app available. Could you make sure to follow the steps here and try availing of the offer again?

Please keep in mind that the offer the offer is available for users in the US with an S10 or S10+ and have never used Premium before.

You can follow the steps below to avail of the offer, if you haven't already:

  1. Log into the Spotify app on your Galaxy S10
  2. Click on the Premium tab
  3. You'll then see the 6 months Premium offer, click on "Get Premium"
  4. You will now be guided through the activation process (this includes entering payment details etc.)
  5. After you've entered all required info, you should be shown a confirmation screen.

Let us know how you get on 🙂

@Katerina The latest Spotify app update worked for me on my US unlocked S10. I was able to sign up for the 6 months fine. Thanks for fixing this and checking in. 🙂

I'm trying to activate free 6 months premium on my new s10 in the USA. I see the offer in application, but when I go there it says

"It looks like you’re not eligible for that offer, but we found more for you."

I just purchased the S20 and when I go to the  Premium section, there is no option for the 6-month trial. There is an option for 1 month but the 6 months was what was included in the order. I have spoken with Samsung customer service and they said the issue has to be fixed on your end. I have also never had a premium trial, considering this is a new account.

None of this works. This is ridiculous, apparently this same issue just keeps going on without resolution. All requirements for this 6 month trial are met (link below still shows this as active), latest version in Google store same as on my S10, Samsung One UI 3.0 Android 11 - 8.6.12.986.

Spotify is probably doing this deliberately. @Jemi
