[Galaxy watch app] Spotify app on Galaxy Active 2 watch stopped working after latest Tizen update

My Question or Issue

After I updated my samsung watch active 2 to tizen 5.5.0.1 it can't open spotify when I tap on spotify app it will show spotify and keep loading I've tried reset my watch reinstall my app and it still didn't work

Hello. I'm still experiencing this issue. Tizen 5.5.0.2, Android 11, Pixel 3a XL, Spotify Version 2.5.39. I haven't called Samsung tech support yet, but I'm planning on doing so whenever my schedule is  free.

Same problem here. Galaxy Watch 3, Galaxy S9, all updated as of 5/19.

I had the same issue for several months on my galaxy watch, but yesterday I manage to update the spotify app and now everything is working as expected.

In the Wearable app > Apps > Manage App > Spotify app : the app was "up to date" but when I got to the download history (Wearable app > Apps > Manage App > top right menu > download history) there was an update for the spotify app. It's a strange behavior but now it seems to work fine

Reporting here that I am experiencing the same issue. I've just reinstalled the app and it continues on the loading screen when attempting to open it. I specifically bought this watch to use spotify premium to listen to music/podcasts while on the go and without my phone.

I 'm experiencing the same issue on my Galaxy Watch 3. I use the Galaxy Buds+ to listen to music through spotify straight from the watch so I don't have to carry my phone.
When I turn the watch on, Spotify works fine the first time. After I put the Buds+ back in the case and try and use them an hour later with the watch, most of the times the Spotify app is just stuck on the loading screen. Only way to resolve it is restart the watch. So annoying! I'm so disappointed!

This issue has been active for some time now and we’ve decided it’s best to mark it as Not Right Now.

 

We’d like to help any Galaxy Active 2 owners that want to enjoy Spotify on it and are experiencing this, but as this involves a third party, we cannot provide a timeline or a guaranteed outcome.

 

We’ve reported it to Samsung and have been working with them on this, so if there are any developments, we’ll make sure to post them.

I downloaded the app via Samsung App and it worked for me, it wasn't working before
