Please refer to my previous post here. I'm reopening this because I keep getting upvoted, the issue is very annoying and it is seriously going to force me to use a competitor's streaming service.
Ok, I want to emphasize that I'm referring to gapless playback and NOT cross-fade.
Like my previous post said, I listen to a lot of live albums or ones where the tracks are intended to be listened to continually as if one big experience, casing example, any anjunadeep album where tracks are mixed from one to another. The gap between songs on Google Home is very very annoying.
In the PC, Mac, iOS and Android apps, this isn't an issue. On Alexa (another product similar to Google Home) it too is not an issue, from my personal experience it is only Google Home where this is an issue.
I've been full and thorough on explaining myself here, please don't put a generic response and close the ticket, and do a quick search, you'll find a lot of people want this. It's a basic requirement offered on most devices you serve. I'm a software engineer myself, a specific reason would be nice too.
